Pride Month

With all that’s been going on in the world and in the country –coronavirus, economic downturn, riots, protests—other things can get lost in the shuffle and social media trending.

However yesterday’s landmark Supreme Court Decision protecting the rights of LGBQT people in the workplace rings a clear bell to remind us that this is PRIDE Month. And although the IAMTW is not a political organization it’s important to remember that celebrating our members who are in the LGBQT community is not about politics but about humanity. They are our colleagues, our brothers and sisters, no matter what pronoun is used. They are our family and always have been.

So, I invite each of you to celebrate PRIDE Month and celebrate the courage it takes for an unfairly oppressed portion of our human species to step out and be who they truly are. Just as we celebrate and support those LGBQT persons who choose not to share their sexuality publicly. This organization celebrate inclusion in all of its aspects and abhors intolerance in its many unfortunate forms.

We are, and always will be, stronger together; and we will always flourish because of our beautiful diversity.

Happy Pride Month!
