IAMTW Statement

The International Association of Media Tie-In Writers stands against discrimination and intolerance. In this time of upheaval, we proudly support those protesting and working to fight inequity and injustice. We add our voices to the calls to increase inclusivity, promote diversity, and amplify underrepresented voices within the publishing industry and beyond.

Actions must follow the words acknowledging the disparity. It is vital to listen, strive to understand, and then work together to effect the changes that will benefit not just people of color, but our whole society. Until all are equal there can be no true, lasting progress. We can and must choose a just and equal future and work together toward that goal.

Not just our voices, but our choices matter now more than ever. We can all do our part with the time, money, and resources we have available

If you’re looking for a way to get involved, to educate yourself, or to expand your perspective, below are some places to start, either by making contributions, or volunteering, or by supporting marginalized writers.
